  Yachtie, you are simply too sensitive. I wasn’t shouting at YOU: I was shouting for someone who’s able to get into my site – i.e., anyone on the staff.
  Anyway, I apologised for my bad manners: what else do you want?!
  And now, thanks to Graham, it turns out that there are actually server problems [or whatever]: me alone it ain’t.
  Heaven only knows how long this will go on for: and I am deeply disappointed that no WordPress person has made a statement.

  I don’t care how many times you apologize. I don’t care how poor your aim. I’m not a yachtie. I have to wade through all your freak-outs in order to get to the technical issue. In this case, there’s been a sticky post at the very top of the forum since before you posted, talking about this specific issue. And many, many other threads in the forum. Look at the forum when you have a problem and you will often see the problem, the solution, and the staff responses.

  Looks like I’ll have to struggle through without you, then. Gosh: I wonder if I’ll be able to …?
  As for your peremptory advice: from now on, this is what I’ll do.
  As it hadn’t occurred to me that my problem was anyone else’s, all I’d done was to search on “being logged out”, which got me no result. Didn’t occur to look for a sticky: thought it was my problem, as I said.

  @margaret, using ALL CAPS is the Internet equivalent of shouting, but somehow I think you already know this. :)

  When there are system issues, there is also usually a sticky post at the top of these forums, like this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/dashboard-errors-related-to-talktalk-isp-issue?replies=1

  Please look first before posting.

  Most kind. However, as already explained, I had no idea that what I was experiencing was a system issue.
