i keep getting an error with hestia theme, and cant upload a new theme

    Anyone know how i can upload a new theme for my self hosted wordpress site?
    I was using Hestia, and it crashed. now it seems to be blocking me uploading any other themes. I cant work out how to delete it.

    How do i delete Hestia?

    I also cant work out how to upload a new theme, as its coming up with an error – “installation failed – could not create directory” is this due to the error from my other theme?

    Hi there,

    If a current theme is blocking you from uploading a new theme and you’re not able to deactivate and delete the theme directly from WP-Admin, you’ll likely need to delete the theme folder directly from your server via FTP.

    You should see FTP credentials in your hosting control panel. You use those credentials to access your site’s files directly using a client like FileZilla. Then you’ll go to the folder /wp-content/themes and delete the folder called Hestia.

    For more help with this process, and for troubleshooting why you’re unable to install a new theme if removing Hestia manually doesn’t help, please ask in the forums for the open source version of WordPress you’re using instead:

    Hestia isn’t one of our themes, and this isn’t really a theme issue, but more a problem with your WordPress installation itself. We don’t use the same version of WordPress on WordPress.com that you’re using, so our ability to help here is very limited.

    hi there, I’ve two questions about Hestia;

    1. how to put the contact section(that usually comes on the bottom of the page) on every page?

    2. how to put a background image other than the home page?

    3. I did put a signature logo (png file) that was working good for many days but lately, it stopped showing and replaced by a black patch. I’m trying to repair it but it ain’t working.

    Hestia is not made by us, so we’re not able to help with that theme.
