I keep getting ‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection’ anytime I try to access my site

I went through and deleted or hid all of my previous sites and made my new blog my primary site. Now anytime I go to access it I get that error message. I came across this https://wordpress.org/support/topic/primary-sites-jetpack-connection/
page of someone who seems to have a similiar problem, however I have no way to access the solution that is described. I feel completely lost.
