I keep getting white screen with the word 'forbidden' when trying to log in

  The login details given to me by a client didn’t work and, after several failed attempts, all I get now is a white screen with the word ‘forbidden’ when trying to log in as an administrator. I can’t even view the site via the url – I get an Apache error. I’ve tried Chrome, Firefox and IE with the same result. My username and passwords have been reset with no difference.
  I am using Windows 8 – can anyone help please?

  We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

  It seems my difficulty is that the site was created using WordPress.org; it is not a WordPress.com hosted site.
