I keep receiving 'Confirm your subscription for ___' emails for blogs that I didn't s

  I am receiving dozens of emails a day from (email visible only to moderators and staff) in pairs with subject headings ‘Confirm your subscription for (name of a blog)’ and another with ‘[Subscribe] Comments on (name of blog) – please confirm’

  I would like these emails to stop, there are tons of them now in several different languages. I assume a bot of some kind is using my email or user name to try and register comments. As far as I can tell, the only ways for me to stop seeing these is to direct all (email visible only to moderators and staff) messages to my spam folder or block all emails from wordpress, but I would like to continue to receive notifications when new posts are placed on the blogs that I have registered for.

  Hi there. Are these coming from a WordPress.com blog? Can you please provide the URL of the site in question?
