I loose my posts titles on featured image when “visit site”, Libretto theme
-
Hi, in all of my posts the titles fall on the featured image, when I view them separately, but when I view my site from “visit site” , the title on the image is gone, and what worst, the post is preceded by the title of the previous post, which creates some confusion. Is there a way to place the post title before the featured image? I am thinking of creating a block before the featured image.. thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out!
I’ve taken a look at your site and I can see that the titles of the posts are showing from what I can see.
Are you able to talk me through what steps you’re taking with regards to viewing the site and where you’re not seeing the titles?
Many thanks in advance! We’ll be sure to take a closer look.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi aleone89,
Many thanks to you!
Example 1: clicked from the navigation bar (titles on the top of site) the post “Planet Syria” has the title on the featured image, whereas from “visit site” (from my own dashboard) the featured image has no title overlaying on it.
Example 2. If I click on “Inside Syria” on the navigation bar (under blogsofwar.me) the post has the title on the featured image, whereas by clicking on “visit site” there is no title overlaying on the featured image.
Example 3. If I click on “night boat to Misrata” from the navigation bar, the title shows on the featured image. If I go to “visit site” from my dashboard, there is no title on the featured image, but this one, I see it now, has a title under the image.
I suppose I should replicate what I did in 3, and stay with the title under the image, which is fine for me. I went to “night boat to Misrata” in my editor and I have a Paragraph block/heading 2, which gives “NIGHT BOAT TO MISRATA” in “view post” under the featured image, not overlaying on it, which is fine with me (I made it many years ago).
Do you see the titles overlaying the featured images, clicking from the titles in the navigation bar? I am sorry it’s so complicated, thank you for your patience and there is no hurry here!

Hey there,
Thank you for providing such detail and the steps you’re taking.
I’ve taken a look at both the methods you’re detailing and I can’t seem to replicate that at all.
What browser are you using exactly, and out of curiosity are you using any ad blockers or anything of that nature?
Many thanks again!

Hi there,
Sorry about the delay but, as you say, it’s about curiosity.
I published three different featured images from Firefox, Chrome, Safari. For all of them I whitelisted https://blogsofwar.me/ in myy adblock.
Screenshot 1 shows where I added the title which overlays on the featured image.
In 2,3, I added the title in Firefox.
In 4,5, I added the title in Chrome.
In 6,7, I added the title in Safari.
For each mage, the first screenshot is from “view post”, where I populate the title in “add title” in the Editor.
For each image, the second screenshot is from “my site”. In “my site”, the title added in the editor on the featured image, is not showing.
Since my issue was “the title on the feature image is not showing in “my site”, I could work around by adding a paragraph block under the featured image.
Also, the title on the featured image could be seen once the posts are viewed separately from the navigation bar. I suppose that’s just the way Libretto works.
May I ask how to change the color of the post title, the white in “add title”?
Thanks

Thank you for the screenshots!
I think the problem here is that for posts that are primarily posts that have the “Status” post format, Libretto as a theme actually puts the titles (as you mentioned) below the featured image, when looking at your list of posts.
Here is a screenshot of your “Safari” post with the featured image; on the right side of my browser I opened the panel to view the HTML of your blog. When I select the section of code which denotes your Safari post, it shows me that the featured image and the title below it are highlighted in one unit:

I took the liberty of changing the Safari post to use the Standard post format:

As a result, here is now it appears when checking your latest posts, either from My Site or as a regular visitor:

As it is, I definitely see the post titles appearing overlaid on the featured images, when I visit the individual posts in your navigation!
With regards to the post title field in the post editor, there isn’t directly any method to change the text colour at this time.
I hope that helps!
