And now I have lost another .com blog! http://mlaparalibrarian.wordpress.com/
Every time I change my password, I lose a blog.
Yikes, please help! -
Contact staff directly, and immediately, via the Support button at the bottom of the forums.
And STOP changing passwords. In fact, don’t even post on one of your blogs till staff gets this sorted. -
The same thing has happened to me! I can see my blog, but I can’t have any access to it!!!! Help!!
-
I have contacted support but they don’t have a “friendly” support email. There’s no way for me to easily let them know what has happened! I have to choose a blog address and the one I lost is no longer listed. I had to choose a topic and I had to choose “general”.
I don’t have much faith that they’ll see that email in a timely manner. But I hope they see this. And it seems to be urgent as others are losing their blogs!
There’s no way to let them know of a SERIOUS PROBLEM!
So I repeat, HELP!

Looks like this is a potentially widespread problem. I’ll report it from my dashboard as well. The more reports the better!
-
YES THERE IS A WAY and you did it. Support by email isn’t fast. Support by the process you did is absolutely the fastest way to get staff’s attention. They check email last, if at all.
-
But I am not convinced that they’ll pay head to a support email with “general” in the heading. They should create a support choice labeled technical problem or something.
There should be a way to get their attention immediately if this is a big problem. And there isn’t.
-
If you emailed them, it’s got a low priority. But from what I understand you sent a proper ticket, filling out that weird form with “I did…I expected” etc. That is the fastest way.
I did the same, linking to this thread. And I put a modlook tag on this thread as well. That’s as good as it gets. ALL support questions are technical problems, so General is probably the best category. With a flurry of reports coming in, that will get their attention for sure.
-
I sent two complaints. My main worry is that I will lose all of my content. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to get back to you generally?
-
-
It’s doubtful you’ll lose your content. What is the actual blog? Give us a link starting with http. And remember, WP does have backups for cases like this where there’s a bug.
How long depends how many staff they’ve got on at any given moment. I think they’ve got the head of support working right now, so it shouldn’t be too long.

Hey, the same happened to me, just a few moments ago! I changed my nickname and my displayed name on my blog scrivoapaola.wordpress.com.
Now, my blog is no longer in my list. I can see it but I can’t access it at all. -
This issue is fixed. If you were affected, please use the contact support form to let us know and we will fix your blog right away.
-
It is NOT fixed. And I have contacted support TWICE.
WHAT MORE CAN I DO? IT IS NOT FIXED FOR ME. HELLO, HELP ME!
-
Did you give them the correct URL for the affected blogs? Not just the one you’re signed in on, the ones with the problem.
-
esbabb, the issue has been fixed so that it does not happen to any other users. If you already lost access to a blog, then we need to fix it from our end. I am looking for your support ticket now, and you should receive a reply very soon.
