my account is alamandang.wordpress.com …. and i lost my password. yes i have clicked LOST PASSWORD that took me to write my email ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) …. but the problem came up to me, that the email was not recognized by wordpress. seems to me that my account has been hijacked -and the hijacker changed or removed my email, but strange that inbox of my email ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) still receives email of comments from alamandang.wordpress.com. this means that alamandang-wordpress-com still works with email (email visible only to moderators and staff) . But why the step LOST PASSWORD doesn’t recognise my email??
Just say that I have forgot that months ago I changed the email from alamandang at yahoo to something else …. But why does inbox of alamandang et yahoo still receive comments from alamandang-wordpress-com??
Please give me the solution. Thanks.

Hi there,
There has not been any recent email or password changes on the alamandang account that owns that site, so there is no evidence at all that the site has been hacked.
If you don’t remember the correct email address for the account (the account in question has never used the Yahoo address you mention here), then you’ll need to verify your ownership via our account recovery process before we can help you access the account.

i follow your suggestion, which i click the “account recovery form”.
and then i fill in the form, like …
> What is your registered email address or username?
i put: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
> What is the URL of the specific blog you are contacting us about?
i put:
alamandang – wordpress – com
> What email address should we contact you at?
i put: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
> proof of ownership
i choose – DO YOU HAVE AN ACTIVATION URL?
I put: [redacted]
then i click the bluebar: Recover my account!then come up to me the same page, only in header it is written:
“Your contact email is the same as your account – if you can receive emails you should try the password reset form instead.”.

That is the problem.
in wordpress, i put my email alamandang-yahoo-com, so the wordpress can send me the password reset to my email. then what?? wordpress doenst recognice my email alamandang-yahoo-com.
if wordpress (my wordpress account; alamandang-wordpress) doesnt recognice my alamandang-yahoo-com, so why my email still receives responses from my account, as if my wp account still worked with alamandang-yahoo??
in short, i would say that there is a MISMATCH, that in one hand my wp account doesnt recognice my alamandang-yahoo, but in other hand, my alamandang-yahoo still receives responses from my wp account.
regretfully, i stuck in here.

On the What is your registered email address or username? field check the I don’t know my registered email or username box and on the What email address should we contact you at? enter your Yahoo.com email address where we can contact you.

i have tried your suggestions, but it did no good to me.
i have an idea. May be the “Do you have an activation URL or key?” is the problem to me, because I no longer have it in my inbox (redacted) – may be i have deleted it.
the idea is, can wordpress RESEND the activation URL of my account to my email? once I re-gain (receive) the activation URL, then I will / can fill the form “Do you have an activation URL or key?”.

@ maheslam noting if you’ll share the actual email addresses rather than using dashes and what not, staff will be able to see them and they’ll be automatically redacted from public view.
We can’t resend the activation URL to a new address. But we could simply send a password reset email to the address on file, if you have access to it. (It is not the address you hinted at in your last post.)

I also wanted to note, the email address you first mentioned is not subscribed to the site nor associated with it on our end, so I’m not sure why you’d be getting notifications from it. Is it being forwarded from another account?

I believe you are right, that may be I have edited or changed the email address. I built my wp account with email A, then wp sent the activation url to A. But then I changed the email in wp to B. Unfortunately, I have forgot my email (A) so I couldn’t open A.
Do you have suggestion, please ….

Ah that’s tough. Is there a chance you could get the old email back so we could send a password reset email to it?
Unfortunately if we can’t prove you own the old account, we can’t give it to you. Otherwise folks could come in and hack into any site by pretending to be its owner.
