I lost my website

  I decided not to renew my domain name and tried to log on to redirect my website (insomniacwithadream.com) to a .wordpress website.

  When I logged on it said I didn’t have anything. I don’t know what happened, but 6 years of work is gone and I’m freaking out. Please help!

  I just searched for past purchase records at WordPress.com for the username insomniacwithadream, and I didn’t find anything. I also searched for insomniacwithadream.com in WordPress.com accounts, and I couldn’t find anything for that either. It sounds to me like you may have setup WordPress in the past, but at a company separate from WordPress.com. If that is indeed the case, you should contact your web hosting provider as soon as possible and ask them for a backup or if you can reinstate your account long enough to make a backup of your old site. Once you have a backup (which you can generate from the WP Admin > Tools > Export page), you can import it into a new WordPress.com blog as soon as you create one.
