In January I made a website called oysteinkarlsen.com, and now it is gone. I should bee there somewhere, but I can’t find it. I used HostGator as a host. And I think the hole site is closed. Bur way is it gone on WordPress too. When I am logging in, it says no page.Please really need some help here…

You will best be served by contacting HostGator in this instance, as your installation of WordPress was hosted by the. HostGator is still in service, you can find their support portal here: https://support.hostgator.com/
Note these forums are for WordPress.com hosting, which will not apply in your case. In your case HostGator is your host and WordPress is software installed on their servers.

I have the very same problem. My site was fine yesterday, today it’s gone. My host is 1and1, I am on the phone now with the helpdesk.

when I follow the prompt to install and enter my website information and email address, I click “submit” and get a whole list of database errors with this statement at the end, “Success!WordPress has been installed. Were you expecting more steps? Sorry to disappoint.

Note that password carefully! It is a random password that was generated just for you.” There is a log in button at the bottom and when I click it, it takes me back to the same page. -

Since yours is a self-hosted blog like iklyve your best bet is to contact your hosting provider . If you need help with your WordPress blog there you can use the WordPress.org support forums.
Make sure not to post password information publically as it may compromise the security of your website. Good luck!

Yes, I have contacted my provider. It is strange to me that iklyve is having the very same issue as I am even though he is using hostgator. Sounds like may be a WordPress issue.

While possible it’s very unlikely, it sounds like you both may be having different problems with similar symptoms. WordPress in your case is just software installed on the server. If your blog is missing it wouldn’t be a WordPress issue, it would be an issue with your account with your hosting provider.
In either case these particular forums are for blogs hosted on WordPress.com, thus are not best equipped to help you. If your hosting provider points you to WordPress, try posting your issue to the forum I linked above.
