How do I make my site not private anymore?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I believe you can find the the option you are looking for under Settings > Reading > Site Visibility

Well, first of all the URL you posted says clearly you moved the blog. When you do that, you drop to zero in search engine rankings. The new blog http://spitfiretortoiseshellpickguards.wordpress.com/ has a static opening page. Blog posts are much more attractive to search engines, so make some.

Okay thank you for your help. I realized that the old page had a broken link because it was mostly hit by a tag. Well I deleted that tag which broke the search link. I re-created the tag “pickguard” and now the link on google works again.
Now what do you mean by a static page and a Blog post? I assume a static page is similar to just a website where no one can comment. A blog post would be to where people can leave comments and participate right?
I am debating that since I want to make this look more like a website, although I do have comment and forums on other pages linked at the top. Any advice?

You overlook the HUGE advantages of WordPress.com when you only make a static website with it. In my opinion, blogs are far better. You can use a static page as your landing page and have a blog on a different page, though, if you want to look more businesslike. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Well correct me if I’m wrong, On my site, I have a static landing page, but then on the forum and gallery where people can post is that the same as a blog like you are talking about? Check it out.
