I mapped my old Wix domain (laurenottawayart.com) to my new wordpress blog (laurenottawayartist.com)

  So.. this is what I did.
  – Stupidly made a site with wix.com. I purchased the domain laurenottawayart.com
  – I made a new site using wordpress and mapped my old domain to this new site (though it did not connect to my new site because Wix does not allow that)
  -My domain laurenottawartart.com has now expired.
  -I tried to purchase it through wordpress.com, but it says it is not available.
  Is this because I am currently mapping it?
  Would really love some help (sorry if I sound like a n00b).

  Hi Lauren!

  So, it looks like the registration was blocked because you already mapped laurenottawartart.com to your site. I removed the mapping upgrade and refunded your $13 payment. Can you try to go through the registration process again described here?

  Register a New Domain

  This time, you should be able to register the new domain at WordPress.com.
