I may change
-
I have been using WP for over 4 years now. I like the new changes you made, but sometimes my Private setting does not change in your new editor and I am forced to do it in quick edit. But I completely hate your WP banner at the bottom of the screen. I mean hate enough to leave WP. I control what is seen on my screen and I do not need my reader aware of what theme I am using.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
but sometimes my Private setting does not change in your new editor and I am forced to do it in quick edit.
I’m sorry, that sounds frustrating. Do you know of any common factors when this happens? For example, is it every scheduled post? Or all posts that you save as drafts and then publish later?
I completely hate your WP banner at the bottom of the screen.
I’m sorry you’re frustrated with the WordPress.com footer. Please note that all WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.
You, of course, would have full control of your footer if you moved to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. You can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

No. The incidents with Private are random. And I have found no other way to resolve the issue other than quick edit. The mechanism must be different than with the editor. It is not consistent. It did not start until the new editor started and I consider it a bug in the editor.
As far as the banner it did not seem as intrusive as the new display. And I resent what seems implied from its presence: That if I could afford to upgrade I could get rid of it.
I hate when I go grocery shopping and there is only one selection of Libbys or Delmontie and twenty variations of Great Value. I do not like the feel of the banner at the bottom. It seems very cheap.
I knew the response would be to upgrade and that is what I resent in it.
I live several thousand dollars beneath the poverty level. I have no car and not enough money to go do anything. I work on my Blog. And I would like to upgrade. I used to be IIS System Admin and ISAPI Programmer in C++. And it is something I could easily grasp. But my Blog serves my purpose now.
I just wish that you could make it less intrusive. I do not like my reader seeing at the bottom of the screen that this is not a custom Blog or Web Page and you have to splash that it is just a Theme. It detracts.

Thanks for those details! I’ll try to reproduce the issue and I’ll pass it on to our developers.
I’m sorry you’re disappointed with the footer. Here at WordPress.com there is no upgrade that would allow you to remove or change the credits on your site. I can see how my suggestion may have been confusing though. Here’s some more information about how WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different:
