I messed up my username/site name

Help please. I wanted my website and username to reflect the same. Somehow I messed it up and now when i try to change it I get an error of username already exists. But the username is mine. I am very confused. Help.

The site https://thiriotaryn.wordpress.com/ has a default post by the author/username tarynvthirio. The site address https://tarynvthirio.wordpress.com/ already exists. Is it in the same account?

The username thiriotaryn also exists. You can’t change the username of an account to another username which already exists. To achieve you goal might require transfer of one or more sites to another account, but it’s not yet clear what your goal is.

Thanks. That username also exists, and it was created at about the same time as the
second one. Here are the three I’ve found:- username tarynvthirio — https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/tarynvthirio/ — created ~18 hours ago
- username tarynthirio — https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/tarynthirio/ — created ~13 hours ago
- username thiriotaryn — https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/thiriotaryn/ — created ~13hours ago
Each of them represents a different account, with a unique email address.
The website address that would correspond exactly to the username tarynthirio (no “v”), https://tarynthirio.wordpress.com, doesn’t yet exist. In fact, it is reserved for that username. The key factor in creating that site is to be logged into the correct account when you make the attempt.
Perhaps the easiest way would be to use a different browser for each account, at least for the creation of that site.
