I messed up Sapphire

I did write support but haven’t heard back yet, maybe someone can help? I have read all I can in support and forums. I saved original template, made two additions, and pasted back in and saved as new template. Realize now I should not have done that way. :) Result, wide blue border around header, and thin outline border around page. I took out my additions, same result. (I added under navagation sidebar ul li “border-top: solid 1px gray;” and
“list-style-image: url(blueringicon.png);” – then realized can’t add images to sidebar items that way anyway.)
So then flummoxed, I tried taking out all the custom css hoping it would default to normal template, no joy; Tried activating other templates, no joy. Then just pasted back in the Original Sapphire template I had saved. No joy. Still the wide blue border and thin outline border around the page.
The main problem is that now, all other templates I try are seriously mucked up. I would now like to use another template (been using Sapphire a month to learn on). I can’t just start a new blog as I’ve paid the $15 on this one and not keen to change name.
Dear gurus, so appreciative of help …
    Thx

Since we can’t have a look we can’t say anything, and even then, we don’t have no backend access. Wait for an answer from support.

Did you choose to add your changes to the theme or to start from scratch?

At all times used the original theme’s css, only inserted couple of things and later removed from same original. I have a feeling something got corrupted for some who-knows-why reason in the html or php which as you say, we cannot access. If so, someone who does have access in support would need to fix. How long does it usually take to hear from support? Thx.
