Hello experts,
I moved my blog to godaddy wordpress delux hosting account (exported-imported). Now, I don’t want the original wordpress.com account. I was reading this http://support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/ . I am still not sure whether to delete wordpress.com blog, or forward the domain (wordress.com) to my new hosting site, wordpress.org (Not sure how to do domain forwarding).
Any ideas are appreciated!

There is a trick that can be used with the domain mapping upgrade to redirect your blog visitors here to your new blog, but it does require the purchase of that upgrade and the blog would have to stay active here for the redirect to work. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/redirecting-your-blog/ .
As far as deleting the blog here, if you do not do the redirect, my suggestion is to keep the blog here but set it to private (settings > privacy). It won’t hurt anything to leave it here and you never know when you might want to use it for something in the future.
I did not do the redirect. What I did was to set all my posts back to draft on my blog here and then put up one final post announcing my move and giving people a link to the new blog. It took about 3 months for the hits on my blog here to get down close to zero, and at that point I marked the blog as private.

I don’t want to pay for forwarding. I already am paying for wordpress.org hosting on godaddy. Seems like there is no answer to my concern except posting one last post telling users to visit new wordpress.org blog ????

That is correct. If you don’t want to pay wordpress.com $10/yr for forwarding your wordpress.com blog to the new URL, then that is your only option.
