I must be missing something….
-
I’m brand new, so excuse my ignorance of all things WordPress. I’m trying to customize my site, and what I see when I publish it isn’t what I’ve done so far in my customization. I have removed the blog from being able to be seen until I figure this out. I’m sure this is something silly but could someone help me out, pretty please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
I don’t see any differences between your site design and the site preview. Can you specify what you are seeing that looks different?

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey there,
Thanks for reaching back out – it sounds like you’re perhaps making changes in the editor: https://myromans8life.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php, and you’re not seeing them – are you able to talk me through what changes you’re making specifically please?
I wonder if the homepage setting need to to be tweaked or something like that…
Many thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Yes, I’m making changes to the editor and then I’m not seeing them. The content for “The Art of Connection” here is not what I have type elsewhere. I don’t know how to make this look the same as the post itself?

Thanks for your screenshot. By default the Carnation theme is designed to show blog posts on the homepage, as seen in the demo here: https://wordpress.com/theme/carnation/
As a result of this, the homepage content of this theme (the text and images of the blog posts) is not edited directly in the homepage template. Instead it’s set up to pull in content from the blog posts you publish here: https://wordpress.com/posts/
To edit the contents of the homepage of your site as it is now, you can edit the post (The Art of Connection) or you can publish a new blog post of your own instead. Any new post you publish will automatically show up on the homepage.
Out of curiosity, are you planning to also publish blog posts to display on the homepage of your site (similar to the demo site) or did you have the intention to use the homepage layout as inspiration, but you would like to set it up as more of a traditional “homepage” and not a page that displays blog posts.
Thanks for the additional info!
