    I one a domain from an external source and I would like my wordpress to direct to the .com

    Hi there,

    To be sure I understand, you wish to replace the address of your site, so instead of “lifewonderingscom.wordpress.com” it is ” lifewonderings.com” yes?

    I see you recently purchased (and cancelled/refunded) our site redirection upgrade, and that is good because you do not actually need that. To explain, that upgrade is intended for when you are moving off of WordPress.com and leaving for a different provider, and you need a way to redirect traffic to the new site.

    In this case it sounds like you need is to remove the “wordpress.com” from your site address, and you can do that by upgrading to any of the plans shown here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    All of the plans listed there include the ability to connect a custom address to your site and give you the option to register lifewonderings.com so that you are the official owner of the domain. Note that if you choose the yearly (not monthly) option for any plan, the domain is free for the first year.

    If you are not sure where to start we recommend the Personal Plan, which will remove the advertising we show on free sites (to help pay our bills) and give you more media storage space for your image uploads, as well as the ability to set a custom site address.
