I need a catalog plugin!

I can’t seem to create this feature within wordpress.com, but there seems to be some great plugins available for wordpress.org. For example eCommerce Product Catalog by impleCode looks perfect for what I am looking to do for my site.

A self-hosted WordPress site might be right for you. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins unless we have the $299. per year annually renewable Business upgrade when we can install limited ecommerce plugins.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/There is no other upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.ORG install.
WordPress.ORG offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run advertising, and edit the database, etc. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I thought that I could include a paypal button so that there is some sort of ecommerce allowed on a premium site? Are there are no themes that allow me to easily categorize my images of products, show prices and shipping? I am not technical enough to host, back-up, update, fix, etc. on .org, and my business is very small and just starting, so paying someone to do that work or even paying $299 on .com is not an option yet.
Any other suggestions? I sell antiques and repurposed lighting. Really what I need is have my clients click on my pieces and be able to see them in categories as well ie. tables, chairs, lighting, etc.

Provided you are selling only what you yourself make or a service that you personally provide you have two options.
(1) Know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
(2) If you set up an Ecommerce site somewhere else online you can create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ and include a custom link to that site in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
I think a self-hosted WordPress site is what you need. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Get web hosting here http://wordpres.org/hosting. Get the software here http://wordpress.org.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.
