I need a general concept explained

    I’m new to the entire blogging field. How can a blog be helpful to a columnist with a good readership in the old fashioned newspaper? My articles are very often recopied from the online part of the paper and reprinted elsewhere.
    How might a blog be useful to me????? thanks.
