I need a refund and to close my account (I think)

    I didn’t know there was a difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. I stared a blog on wordpress.com thinking that once I upgraded then I would have the features of wordpress.org. I purchased the upgrade and then realized that what I really need are the features of wordpress.org.

    So, I purchased hosting, installed wordpress but it is still going to my wordpress.com login.

    Will you please help?

    I don’t want my wordpress.com account. I do want wordpress.org.

    Hi there,

    You’re right, you do indeed need a refund! I’ve gone ahead and cancelled your WordPress.com Premium upgrade for you and refunded it back to your bank. Depending on your bank, it can take a few days to show up back on your account.

    Now you might still need to point your domain at your new hosting account. In order to do that, you’ll need to log in where you have your domain registered and change the nameservers to whatever nameservers your new host gave you. Unfortunately I can’t tell you what those might be because every host is different, but it should be in either the welcome emails that they sent you or in the control panel that you see when you log in.
