I need an IP address that I can use for an A-Record
-
I have used WordPress for a while to host my site, but I have recently had to change my hosting and back end set-up.
As part of this, I need to set an A-Record for h-synergia.com that goes through to the IP address of the relevant nameserver.
Because of the set up I’m using, I can’t just use wordpress nameservers, it’s not a viable option.
I thought I had the correct address (72.233.69.14), but when I try to access the site it says I have an invalid A Record. It worked for a short time, and then stopped. -
Hi there,
The reason that it worked for a while and then stopped is because we have a highly fluid server network, and the only way that we support using our servers for root-level domains is via nameserver.
The only thing that I could suggest is that you transition over to using a subdomain for your blog, that would allow you to use a CNAME instead of a nameserver. If you choose to go this route, we have a help center article that can help you:
