I need assistance with Navbar, Header and Quote insert
-
***I apologize in advance for posting the same question here, but the theme forum has been active for about 2 weeks.***
Hello, this is my website; https://dawnthescreenwriter.com/
I’m almost finished tweaking it the way I want it by searching through the forum. However, I have 3 more tweaks I’d like to add, then I believe I will be satisfied. (https://wordpress.com/theme/creative)Although I’m in love with the Creative theme (just what I wanted), I’m no fan of the SLIDER.
1. I want my navbar to favor this theme; https://wordpress.com/theme/exhibit (color optional).
2. Above that, I would like to soon add a nice custom-made header (undecided on height).
3. On the homepage, in between the portfolio posts and blog posts, I would like to add some popular and or famous quotes.
Please help!!!Thank you in advance for any assistance,
Dawn

The features of the theme are found at https://wordpress.com/theme/creative
You do not have the ability to edit the theme template. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions Does Customize let me edit HTML?
If you have the Premium or Business upgrade http://wordpress.com/plans and use Custom CSS, you can opt to apply custom CSS to a WordPress.com theme.
Note 1: If you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

Hi Dawn,
1. I want my navbar to favor this theme; https://wordpress.com/theme/exhibit (color optional).
2. Above that, I would like to soon add a nice custom-made header (undecided on height).
Given the way the header area is constructed, and given the parallax effect of the header image, this would be a pretty extrordinary amount of work. In addition, the theme creates the image is a very wide and not very tall format and although we can force the image to be taller, we would be asking the browser to do that via CSS, and browsers aren’t good at that sort of thing, so the image would lose a lot of quality. We can replace the inserted header image with another via CSS that would be larger.
The other thing with the above change, is it would not show up in older browsers, and in the case of Internet Explorer, it would only show for those with IE11 or later (Edge).
3. On the homepage, in between the portfolio posts and blog posts, I would like to add some popular and or famous quotes.
This isn’t possible with CSS, it would require some extensive changes to the theme itself to add an additional section for the quotes and write the necessary php code to pull the quotes in.
