I need help!

I opened this account because I already have another account with OP3 loaded onto it but through something I don’t understand and can’t explain (me and my partner have spent at least 5 hours trying to resolve this) I can no longer log in.
I don’t seem to be able to resolve the problem and its not clear how to contact you people (apparently there’s a WordPress.com and a WordPress.org – who knew), but I need some help recovering that site.
    the url is http://jakelaw.me/wp-login.php.
    the domain is jakelaw.me
    The user name is Jake.
    the old password is
Everything was working perfectly until a couple of days ago and then it inexplicably stopped working.
Here are some of the notes I took re: our attempts to get this back – I include them because they contain some quasi-tech info that might be helpful to you:

Issues on WP: 1) tried logging in on jakelaw.me; this failed – sent to a page that said ‘Hello world!’ Clicked on that and got a 404 error message; 2) re: 1), Cliff states: ‘the WP log in is redirecting to the OP3 login’; https://www.optimizepress.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fjakelaw.me%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1; 3) tried logging in with OP3 login info – that didn’t work either; 4) Tried logging in using https://my.optimizepress.com/. That gets me in; 5) logging in via https://www.optimizepress.com/wp-login.php fails even though it was working the other day; 6) jakelaw.me/wp-admin redirects to https://www.optimizepress.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Foptimizepress.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1; 7) so both jakelaw.me/wp-admin and jakelaw.me/admin forward to this same url – it shouldn’t do that – I put in the OP3 login and it STILL doesn’t log me in 8) I contacted OP3 – submitted a ticket – and told them the problem; 9) the problem can be stated this way:

so when I go to jakelaw.me/admin it forwards me to https://www.optimizepress.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.optimizepress.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    so its weird

https://jakelaw.me/wp-admin/ – that is being redirected to this:

    https://optimizepress.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fjakelaw.me%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    shouldn’t do that

    10) Somehow, the WP login is redirecting to the OP login – it shouldn’t do that at all

    11) The problem is in the redirect – it used to redirect to INF, which it was supposed to do – Cliff did this – it was sending ppl to a page he built in OP3

    12) The redirect was shut off and my theme page is not showing

    13) Me (or a plugin – possibly OP3 that I just installed a few days ago?) changed my login URL. One common WP security tip is to change the URL of the login page, which you can easily accomplish with a variety of plugins.

    14) It is OP that is redirecting from the WP login page – I have tried their solutions but they (OP) are going to have to help me

I have a ticket in with OP but so far, no response. My experience with them is that they’re not necessarily very quick on the uptake with customer support matters.

    Site: http://jakelaw.me/wp-login.php – the site is jakelaw.me.
    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Unknown
    Correct account: Unknown

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
