  I want to design a website for my gift card business. I will be generating the card myself. I will also be hosting different online store on my website. It will have a place to check your card’s balance. How can you help me with that?

  Hi! So we understand correctly, you’d like to be able to issue gift cards, and enable customers to check the remaining balance?

  If so then you’ll want to consider the following:

  • Business plan (information: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/business-plan/) – this is so that your site can run the WooCommerce plugin which adds online store functions to your site
  • WooCommerce plugin (information here: https://woocommerce.com) – the main WooCommerce plugin is free, but you are likely to need additional extensions for it that may be paid, to bring in gift card functions specifically.
  • Gift card extension for WooCommerce – here are two possible options:
    • Gift Cards (by WooCommerce): https://woocommerce.com/products/gift-cards/
    • Gift Cards Pro for WooCommerce (by FantasticPlugins): https://woocommerce.com/products/gift-cards-pro-for-woocommerce/
  • You may also wish to consider a theme – there is of course the default Storefront theme for WooCommerce; but there are other ecommerce-compatible themes, for example:
