  I am confused and just want to start again!!!!! I can’t seem to figure out where I went wrong so I just want to start again with this theme!

  You have only one post on your blog. You can delete that and write a different one. You have a category widget, with the category you used on your first post. You have an archive widget. It all looks fine to me.
