    I sent them back

We do not have access to any wordpress files to unzip because we are not using wordpress.org. We are using wordpress.com

To which they sent me this back

    Thank you for contacting us.

You will need to contact Wodrpress support or may refer to the WordPress forum to obtain information how you can retrieve the website files from the website created in WordPress.com. Once done, you can then upload(transfer) these files to your webspace. Please also try to check the PHP version set for the WordPress site as we have sent a notice to you that from April 1, 2013, the PHP versions 4 and 5.2 will not be supported anymore.

So where do I get these files to transfer to my webspace?

  • Hi there,

It looks like all your need to do at this point is update your nameservers. They are currently pointed to ns1.booksandbeats.com and ns2.booksandbeats.com. Instead, they should be pointed to:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

You would do this through 1&1, log in to their admin page and find where your domain settings are. Once you do that, you should be all set!

It takes up to 72 hours for these to propagate, so you may have a bit of a wait once you set the change.
