I need help getting started fr taking a free theme over to a premium theme

  I am using a default free wordpress template and want to purchase a Premium theme. I’m quite new to this so I have a few questions. 1- I would like to use my current domain name for the new theme, is that possible? 2-When I attempt to purchase the Premium theme it prompts me to sign for a blog profile address when I already have an existing one through WordPress, how do I proceed? 3- When I do purchase the premium theme will it show in my dashboard & can I transfer the files over but save it w/o it going live, as I’d have to make tweaks here and there??

  If you’re quite new to this I suggest you not buy any upgrade for three weeks or so, until you are very familiar with the software.

  1) that has nothing to do with the theme. Changing themes has nothing to do with domain names.

  2) are you logged in as the administrator of your blog? Only admins can make purchases.

  3) when you buy a theme you just click Activate and it’s activated. YOu can’t save it offline and customize it and then have it go live.

  Your theme 2014 has quite a bit of flexibility built in – there are around 200 free themes to choose from – make a few Posts on your blog before you pass judgement on the theme
