I need help getting started w/ my page layout

  I’m simply looking for ways to do exactly what most of you do and I’m not very good yet.
  I want to set up the page in a style like a magazine with different articles and I don’t nee to change the post topic each time. I have about 5 to 7 different catagories to write about and want them to remain the same for awhile. How do I do this?

  Just use other sites as examples and see what they do. If you want it like a magazine, then write or cut and paste the story you want and maybe add a little picture to it that has to do with what the story is about. If you use a story as a referrance, then link back to the source and label it Source. We were all new to this and had no clue what to do but with time and patience and experimenting, we got the hang of it and got our own style.

  Actually your best bet might be a PHPNuke install then with the Category module in the home page. That way your categories are listed on your home page followed by your latest post within each category.

  Note that the PHPNuke site lists the most recent articles on it’s home page. That’s with the News module on the home page.
