Hi there,

Thank You! :)

https://malsaati.wordpress.com
it keeps showing the following message
This site can’t be reachedThe connection was reset.
Try:Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET -
I am able to visit your site, so I can confirm that the domain settings are correct.
Here is what I see on my end:
In this case I suspect that your internet service provider may be having issues with finding the domain correctly. With this in mind, can you test a few things for me? Firstly can you let me know if you have any issues in loading the following URLs
– https://wordpress.com
– https://dfw.wordpress.comAs well, I would like you to run the following network test: http://www.speedtest.net/
Can you tell me the results you get for:
– Latency
– Download speed
– Upload speedThanks for the additional info!

Hello, All these links work!
But I just checked on twitter and it seems that users from Saudi Arabia are experiening problems viewing any wordpress content. I tried to google other wordpress blogs and I experienced the same error message.
This is the tweet that mentions this issue:
-
Yes, we are seeing many reports on our end as well, but are still trying to identify the issue, so if you can test there URLs (I did not see in your last reply that you tried these) can you get any of these to load for you?
– https://dfw.wordpress.comAlso confirming that you seem to be able to visit our forums (on wordpress.com) so are you able to visit the admin pages of your site as well? Please try these, thanks!

– https://wordpress.com/posts/Thanks for your help!

Hello
All of the link work except this one:
is taking a while to load and seems stuck, and also shows the same message:
This site can’t be reached
dfw.wordpress.com took too long to respond.
Try:Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUTI can log into my user and see the stats, but once I tryto edit my posts or pages it will also not show the editing view and instead show this same error page.
On the Safari browser it shows a different message
Safari can’t open the page because it cannot establish a secure connection to the server.

Thanks for confirming. We are still investigating at this time, but for now, the only workaround would be to use a VPN connection so that your traffic does not appear to come from Saudi Arabia. Other site owners have informed us that this is allowing them to see their sites.
Thanks for your patience while we investigate!
-
Yes, I did ask other friends using Saudi internet to try out and they all got the same message, it’s interesting when I contacted my service provider that they denied there was an issue at all!
I’ll try using a VPN. But now I’m concerned I won’t get traffic from within my country. I hope it gets resolved soon as I’ve been a long time user of worpress and would hate to switch if it doesn’t get solved from here.
Thank you!

Hi again,
Are you able to tell us who our internet provider (ISP) is so we can include that info in our investigation? Thanks!
-
-
Also, I sent a complaint to the Gov Sa unified national platform to unblock wordpress. This is the link to send requests but still nothing new

-
Thank you for this update. We are continuing to investigate on our end as well, thanks for your patience!
-
Hi, I’m having the same issue and I’m based here in Dubai, UAE. Hopefully it will get resolved. Thanks!
-
I’m wondering if switching to a paid wordpress domain that removes the wordpress.com from our blogs would resolve this issue.. I have reported this issue several times to the service provider but nothing new yet.
-
yes, I believe it is because I tried clicking my friend’s paid wordpress domain and it is working with me but those free domains are not working without using VPN.
-
Yes it may be the case that adding a custom domain will resolve the issue, and only
*.wordpress.comURLs are blocked. Our investigation into this matter continues, but it is our intent to do what we can to resolve the block on free site addresses so the can be accessed as well. However, if you do not wish to wait, then yes you could consider a custom domain as a workaround for now.
