I need help removing weird highlighting!

    I need help removing weird highlighting in the most recent post to my blog pietyonkierkegaard. I didn’t put the highlighting there. I don’t know how it got there. I need to remove it but don’t know how.

    Hi there, I think I’ve found the culprit: italicized words – words with the em tag around them – that are contained within text that has blockquote tags around it, will have yellow highlighting, as you can see in this bit of the CSS code from your theme:

    blockquote em {
    background-color: #fffcce;
    }

    To eliminate the problem, I suggest just un-applying the italics from any text within a blockquote. Since blockquote text is set to be italics in your theme anyway, you won’t lose any of the italics formatting.

    Hi there – I saw in your feedback that this suggestion didn’t work for you, so I wanted to make sure we got this sorted out. I went ahead and removed the em tags in the blockquote on one sample post, so you can see what it looks like with the yellow highlighting gone:
