i need help with blockquote

hi, please help me with blockquotes.
i know the icon that gets it done – i read the faq. but the problem is i can’t access it either in visual or in code mode. ever. no icon ever appears in either visual or code, except the two choices visual or code.
can somebody please tell me how i can do it manually?
i need it in order to provide some codes.many thanks in advance.

something strange happened. it didn’t paste properly. i included the ahref stuff in the beginning, and it was stripped out.

Use the code that starts with <a href
But don’t leave spaces in between < blockquote > </ blockquote >
I did it because or else it would disappear here.

it still didn’t work. i think it’s because it has “php” somewhere in it.
i will try out something minus php, just the regular ahref and img src type codes.thanks, it was helpful.

i’m not quite sure.
all i know is that i want people to get some codes from my blog, if the above site is not compatible, i will try some other site.i just want to upload an image and then tell folks to “get the code”.
like they do in so many sites nowadays, as in spampoison, usersonline etc etc.i’m tired and awfully hungry. it’s nearly 4pm and i haven’t had lunch yet.i’ll try to resolve it later.
please don’t mind my jabbering.

I asked the other day if we could have those scrollbars in our sites so I could put my MySpace layout codes in there. Something like that you mean?

Adding code in a post is a different issue to a blockquote. WP strips out the markup. So you need to convert the angle brackets etc to coded entities.

i can only hope you will long enough til the case is solved.just take a look at spampoison. they show you how their “blog sticker” will look if you copy it in your blog.
right below that they give you the code that will enable you to have the sticker. and the code appears in a grey box.

The other day when I asked about scrollbars they showed me a wordpress blog that had that but when you cut and paste the code, the entire page of text became highlighted instead of just the code. I don’t know. Maybe for what you and I want might take javascript code which isn’t allowed here at wordpress.

and is it valid also for a blogpost? or maybe in a comment box in a post? -
i was about to suggest that, shomoshor. i used backticks in between the code, which is this `. you can find it above the tab key, next to number 1. cross fingers it works the same in our blog editor too.
