I need help with editing my mobile view without it affecting my desktop view
-
The exact problem I’m having is my search bar appears to be just right on desktop version, but too long on mobile version that it pushes the cart and account buttons out of the way, but then I shorten the search bar to accommodate the mobile version and now it looks awkward. There’s other problems that I’m trying to fix, but I would like to know how to separate edits for desktop and mobile versions, not just a simple answer to this specific issue. I appreciate all answers, thank you

Hi there,
It sounds like you’re running into a layout issue where the search bar looks fine on desktop but becomes too wide on mobile, pushing your cart and account buttons out of view. When you shorten the search bar to fit mobile, it ends up looking awkward on desktop.
To manage this more cleanly, you can use a plugin like Block Visibility (https://wordpress.com/plugins/block-visibility) to create two separate search bars—one tailored for desktop and another for mobile. Each can have its own size and styling, and the plugin lets you control which one is visible based on the device.
