I need help with exporting content.

  Hello. I would like to export the contents of my blog to a Word document on my computer. When I try to do this I get an error notice. Can you please help?

  Hi!

  WordPress.com only supports XML files, which won’t look quite like a general Word document. However, I’m happy to send you an export of your site. Could you elaborate on the error message you’re receiving? Are you receiving an error when you try to export your blog or when you try to open it in Word?

  What eould the XML file look like in word?

  If you send me an export, I want to make sure that I won’t affect what is on my blog – I’m assuming that will stay the same?

  While the export I would send you wouldn’t affect the look of your blog, it would look exactly the same when you open it in Word. XML files aren’t meant to be read like a Word doc. They’re a string of text and code meant to help you export from one blog to the other. As of right now, there isn’t a method to export your blog to Word that I’m aware of.
