    I have deleted my domain registration of shrimahalaxmisales.com so that I can purchase it from another service provider but it is showing that this domain is already registered with a WordPress account. What should I do to get this domain?

    Oh, canceling a domain, or letting it expire is never a good idea if you plan to keep using it. Domains are not freed up immediately after cancelation. In your case, the domain will be auctioned:

    https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#expiry-auction.

    From what I can see, we can still recover the domain for you. Once this is done, you’d be able to transfer it away to the registrar of your choice.

    The domain registration will have a cost of $18.

    If this is not what you want, you can wait until the domain is liberated but bear in mind it may take several weeks (if nobody buys it during the auction). We do not have any control over this process.

    Thank you for your reply, I have decided to recover my domain please help me with the process and I also wanted to know that after paying the $18 fees will my domain be active for one year, or do I have to pay extra for that?
