I need my api key
-
I made my blog using my web hosting control panel, how do I find my Key?
-
Go to Your Dashboard, Click on Users, then click on My Profile. Its there on the page.
Or just click on “My Profile” link above.
-
Are you referring to a blog hosted by wordpress.com? If so then the FAQs is the place to check http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/10/19/api-key/

I’m relatively new, but I believe that you need to sign up for a blog hosted by WP in order to be given an API key. Then you can use that API key for as many of your own hosted blogs as you desire. At least, that’s what I’ve done.
It explains it all in the above mentioned faqs page.

@ hoggie
Wordpress.com is wp-MU multiuser software. The forum for self hosting bloggers and for web hosted bloggers who have downloaded the free standing software from wordpress.org is here http://wordpress.org/support -
Regardless if you have a blog here or just an account, you need to be registered at wordpress.com to have an API key. Login again as hoggie, then go to http://dashboard.wordpress.com and then to your “Profile”. Your API will be located there. Then go back to your blog on your other host (plugin options) and add that API from here.
