Hello @thegracefulhelper
Can you please tell us what is the link domain you would like to transfer?
-
Also, can you please explain a little bit more what you are trying to do? From what I understand, is that you have a web domain (a .com for example) and you try to point it to a specific hosting company, right?

my host house is now with hostgator and when I went to get everything together my website didn’t show up. So I went to my wordpress page and I believe I cancel my domain and I think that is were the problem started.

Ok. From what I can see, https://thegracefulhelper.com/ it’s parked with Automattic. That’s great. Now can you explain a bit what are you trying to do? Do you want it to point to another hosting account?
There should be some great information about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
-
Also here is a little bit of information about changing the dns servers for the domain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

I will add a tag to this support request so that a Happiness Engineer can help you on your situation.

hostgator said I would need two server names from wordpress…I really don’t what information that is..
-
I think this are the ones they need:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMBut your domain is already pointing to this ones. If you would want to use hostgator’s hosting, you would need to point your current domain to their name servers.

ok Thank you so much for your help.I just call the company and I would like to update 2 name servers only for my account
-
-
sure . Can you update the name servers for me or tell where I would have to go to undate it?
-
If you want to point a domain bought from wordpress.com to another hosting, you would need to follow this steps here:
-
Just go here (https://wordpress.com/domains/manage) and follow the instructions from here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

Hello –
Your domain was cancelled and I have restored it. It is working again. In order to point the domain away from WordPress.com and over to HostGator instead you’ll need to follow this step-by-step guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
To get started you’ll sign in to your account at WordPress.com. Click on My sites from the upper left corner. On the left hand dashboard click on Domains. Select the domain you are working on, click on edit DNS. This is where you change the name servers to HostGators.
If you can give me the name server details that they have provided you I will be happy to make this change for you in the DNS configurations.
One last bit of information. It is important to remember that when the name servers are updated it can up to 3 days for them to become fully activated across the globe. During that time your site may load inconsistently.
