I need some help!
-
I accidentally hit the new ‘block’ button, and want my old classic editor back. Also, I’ve been unable to upload any pics for my newest post – I keep getting told I have no connection! And I’m afraid the new ‘block’ has deleted my latest, 1000+ word post! Please help me!

Hi Gary,
The same thing almost happened to me and I was curious to investigate what can be done if the new Block Editor was enabled.
You should be able to revert back to the Classic Editor by following these steps:
1 – Log in to your WordPress site as administrator and go to Plugins – Add Plugins.
2 – Search for Classic Editor and it should appear as the first result.
3 – Install and activate the Plugin. This will automatically disable the previous editor. After following these steps, you should be able to create new posts and edit existing posts using the Classic Editor.
I hope you find this useful.

Plugins are only available to WordPress.com users on the Business Plan. The good news is wordpress.com users don’t need a plugin to revert to the classic editor.
This FAQ in the WordPress Editor support document will show you how to go back to the classic editor. It’s about the 6th question down in the FAQ section at
It says
To switch to the classic editor, click on the ‘. . .’ settings icon in the upper right corner of the editing screen.
Then, click on Switch to Classic Editor.
And it has a nice image to help you locate the “Switch to Classic Editor”
