  Thanks for writing to us. Just so I am clear, it sounds like you are pointing a domain to WordPress.com that has previously been used on Wix. Is that right?
  
  The instructions for how to update the DNS records (A record and CNAME) are actually going to come from Wix. I found those here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-domain-assistant-3777632#issues-with-a-domain-purchased-from-wix

  In order to connect the domain to your WordPress.com account an upgraded hosting plan will be needed.
