I need the old editor back
-
This is very very very hard to use and not intuitive. I need the old editor back – now.

A Staff member recently gave this very clear explanation about the block and classic editor.
We have tips for transitioning from the classic editor to blocks https://wordpress.com/support/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/ and FAQs: https://wordpress.com/support/replacing-the-older-wordpress-com-editor-with-the-wordpress-block-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
And, if you really want to use something like the classic editor, we recommend sticking with the classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
For more details, please see https://wordpress.com/blog/2020/08/13/the-classic-editing-experience-is-moving-not-leaving/
We do recommend the new editor though, and we have some extensive documentation available at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/

@staartmees it doesn’t matter how many explanations or tips staff give, no-one wants the new editor. It’s ridiculous that they will not listen to anyone. Even a blogger with a free blog, like myself, is earning WordPress money, yet we don’t get any say in anything. The classic editor was perfect and they have now absolutely ruined it, not just with adding ridiculous “blocks” but also making a big white screen to work on, which is completely awful and is confusing to the brain as it scans the page looking for familiar things. Even using the classic editor within the new one is NOT the same, it’s still that awful big white block with numerous things all over the place.

I’m already removing all my blogs – I hate this, don’t like it – dont’ want to use it. Will move back to Blogger insteacd where I can figure it out easily and work with it. Too bad.
-
@janeesandalwood I want to move too but I’d have to learn how to use a new blogging site anyway. It’s a Catch 22 at the moment for me.
-
@waletras why spend the time learning something that doesn’t work or is impossibly confusing to use? Imho it’s time better spent going for something new that’s designed with the user in mind.
-
The catch is I already know how to use Blogger very well. So it’s easier for me to do that then try to learn this this deal with a very user unfriendly view/tools etc. There was NOTHING wrong with how it was – easy to find everything I needed and looked fine. Should have a choice to use the new or not – not be forced to. Blogger is where I will be soon. Have already moved 5 blogs over.
-
Doesn’t matter how you try to justify it – it still isn’t good, isn’t intuitive and really isn’t user friendly at all. I know how to use blogger, have other blogs there already so will just move mine all there. I have already deleted several of mine off WordPress and I know many of my fellow bloggers that are doing the exact same thing. So, okay – guess if you want to stick to it – go for it – but we will just go elsewhere, where people will listen and do what the users want/need.
