  You’ll need a business plan to install plugins on your WordPress.com site. The Amazon Associates Link Builder is no exception – When I view that plugin page on my free account, it says:

  Upgrade to the Business plan to install plugins.

  The Business Plan runs $25/mo. For more info: WordPress.com Plans and Pricing

  If you want more control of your site, you could look into WordPress.org as well. It’s self-hosted, and gives you complete control over plugins, themes, etc. But it’s also a bit more complex. Compare here: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
