I need to add an external API Key to my Website
-
Hi at all, good afternoon.
I’m not sure I’m expressing my problem correctly, but maybe there is someone among you who can help me. I thank you in advance for that. I’m not a profi.
I would like to include bookable products on my WordPress site (tickets, admission tickets) that should be fed in via an API key. I used Postman to generate this API key. Now I’m trying to integrate the key on the website, but I don’t know how to do it. Usually I always have a predefined field for topics or plugins to enter the key (which was generated by them). But in this case I have nothing except the key and a documentation of what I can and cannot do. and don’t know where to put the key.
Can someone help me find my way around there?
Thanks very much!Greetings

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
What is the purpose for the API key exactly? Is this to verify purchases with the buyers?
You may be able to find a plugin that will generate this per purchase.

Hello aleone89,
thank you for your message. My website is http://www.emirates4you.com
I would like to offer something like tickets and they should be integrated with an API key.
I’ve been going in circles for weeks now because somehow I don’t get much support from the provider. I had some kind of documentation and I passed it all on to Postman. They probably created the key from it, but what now? Neither Postman nor Priohub gives me any information. So here I am trying to ask if anyone can help me. So for me, it’s like a Hotel IBE only with tickets, and visitors to my website can book directly in real-time. Only with an IBE do I have a code that can be integrated into an Html widget. But here they want to include an API key.
Thank you for your patient, i am not a profit.

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. The good news though is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
We don’t have direct experience with that kind of functionality so we’re not in te best position to help, but the folks in that forum are more familiar with the variant of WordPress that your hosting provider uses. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
