  I need to change my email address but the site says it’s with another account. That’s so unlikely it’s impossible.

  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  You can post your email address in a reply, the system hides it but Staff can see it and check what’s the reason.

  This happens when yp-our email address is indeed in use for another account of yours, or when you deleted that email address less than 30 days ago from a wordpress.com account.

  As mentioned by kokkieh in that thread, you would need to log in on WordPress.com using that other email address and change that account to use a different/third address, in order to free up the one you want to use for this account.
