I need to change my site from a blog to a website (set up a blog site by acciden

Hi there,
I set up a page a while ago for my small business. However,I inadvertently set it up as a blog site instead of a website! Is there any way that I can remove the blog side of it and just have it as a website. I have not added any content yet so there is nothing to delete or lose – but I can’t proceed with a website on WordPress because my email address is obviously linked to the blog site and it won’t allow me to just do another one / start again. I would really appreciate your help :-)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A blog is a website.
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, and as others do not backlink to pages, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
Here’s a link to my step by step post too http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/07/25/create-a-wordpress-website-step-by-step/
Also note that every theme has a detailed theme description page with set-up instructions and a live demo site as well.
Example:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sela/
http://selademo.wordpress.com/Lastly, as themes are only “skins” I advise creating and publishing some posts and pages before you tackle site structure. Know that it will make the process easier if you do.
re: the front page error message found on every new .wordpress.com blog
Nothing Found
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help. There is nothing wrong with your site. By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the front page error message and searchbox that appears on every new WordPress.COM blog will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
I recommend using the step by step tutorial linked to the bottom of your Admin page https://learn.wordpress.com
See also the “Video Quick Start” tutorial http://en.support.wordpress.com/video-quick-start/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also linked to on the bottom of your Admin page.

Hi,
Thank you for that Timetheif.I’ve looked at the links that you attached and they are really helpful.
But would you mind just clarifying something (please :-)) – if a blog is a website which simply has regularly updated posts (for every time I add to it), I can create a static front page and the blog page could be for example, my page 2 or whatever, and I could still then go on and create 2 or 3 other pages which will simply make up the rest of my site, such as my services, fees, testimonials etc?Sorry if I sound dim – I am on the brink of paying somebody to set up the site for as I’ve heard horror stories about plug ins and themes and things that are not compatible :-) But I’m sure I can do this!!
:-)

You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page.
(2) A static front page and posts on a different page.By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors who will not be happy to have to click through an About page every time they visit your blog as they come to read your most recently published content. Creating that situation can make some visitors annoyed – so annoyed that they stop following your blog.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for all published posts (not pages) to display on in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top.
To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
A static page (select below)
Front page:
Posts page:The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Yes, you can do that. See here http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

We cannot install plugins. There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs. The horror stories are about WordPress.ORG software installs, not WordPress.COM blogs.
You do not need to hire anyone at all. I gave you links to everything you need to know to do this yourself.
