I need to change my wordpress domain and separate .com to a different .com

  Hi-
  I have had OutdoorsInCali.wordpress.com for awhile. Last year I paid the $20 to make it Outdoorsincali.com and have been very happy. I have decided to change this entirely and I wanted to rename it SummitAscents.com. I’ve already changed OutdoorsinCali.wordpress.com to SummitAscents.wordpress.com but I am not sure how to create SummitAscents.com. I’m more than willing to pay the 20 dollars again to make this happen. How can I do this?

  Registered domain names cannot be changed, so in this case, you would need to add the new desired domain name via Store -> Domains in the blog’s Dashboard.

  thanks mac. i’ve added the new .com registered domain per your instructions. however, my summitascents.wordpress.com address is now great (reflects the previous url that i want it to) but summitascents.com reflects a blog that is on its first post. is there anyway to map those two together?

  I’m sorry for the delay!

  I see that you’ve just transferred the domain (summitascents.com) to point from http://outdoorsincali.wordpress.com/ to http://summitascents.wordpress.com/ by going to Store -> My Upgrades, then clicking “Transfer to another site”.

  Did you get this all setup the way you’d like?

  Let me know if you have any other questions.
