  How can I de-activate my out-dated blog?

  Hello,

  Your site’s Privacy settings control who can view your site, allowing you to make the site public, private, or “Coming Soon”.

  https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

  This is a great option, as your blog is still available if you ever want to use it again.

  Other options would be:

  You can just leave your blog empty:
  https://wordpress.com/support/empty-site/

  Or you can delete your blog:
  https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
