I need to delete a domain that was NOT purchased on WordPress

  I have a domain purchased through godaddy.com that is currently mapped to my wordpress site. I need to unmap that domain. there seems to be no way to do it. WordPress says to “Contact Support” to delete a domain, but then provides no way to actually contact anyone in support.

  I seriously doubt this forum is the right place to get this resolved, but I can’t find any other way.

  Ugh, and it put this through for the wrong blog. It’s upstairsthemusical.wordpress.com that i need to unmap from upstairsmusical.com

  Why don’t you just change the settings at GoDaddy?

  I changed the settings at GoDaddy on Thursday. They are not propagating, I assume because WordPress is still mapping it despite my efforts to sever the mapping.

  Probably has to do with your browser cache

  http://upstairsmusical.com/ – loads to a site not on WordPress.COM – having active domain mapping does not matter as long as the name servers are not pointed here – your name servers point to Godaddy

  Try clearing your browser cache & forcing a reload

  I finally found the correct pace to disassociate the url. It’s under “Upgrades” of all places, in the “Shopping” tab. I wonder if this stuff has been usability tested.

  Thanks to all for the advice and help. :) Cache clear + remapping fixed things.
