I need to disable the new follow button

A new follow button is appearing on my blog, the former other follow button I could easily disable but now I can’t find the menu where to make this one disappear. Settings – Reading – Email does not have a disable function for this anymore. This follow button is visible for every blog visitor not only the registered WordPress users. I have the anonymous followers box unchecked and still everybody can follow. Please advise!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To disable the follow button > Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Email. But that only disables the Follow button for logged out WordPress.com users and those who don’t have WordPress.com accounts.

This is what I find on that page:
Follower Settings
These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
Anonymous Followers__Show follow button to logged out users.Leave this checked to allow anonymous users to follow you. Uncheck it to only allow registered WordPress.com users.
Are you an Admin of the blog in question?

Thanks timethief for the fast reply. I also find what you posted on your last reply but it doesn’t work. I have the box unchecked and everybody gets that follow tab not just the registred WordPress users. Under Settings – Reading used to be – Email but that’s not there anymore. Something has changed and the Follower Settings option doesn’t work.

I’m sorry that’s happening. Please contact Staff about this, and will you be kind enough to return to this thread and post the reply you get from Staff into it?
Note: When we create a support ticket by contacting Staff it’s important to understand they have a backlog. They deal with the support tickets with the earliest dates furst. So if we contact them more than once of the same issue the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.
