I need to edit the A(Host) in the zone file

I need to change the number listed under my A (Host) for a domain (Josharandac.com transfer to godaddy. When I open the zone file editor I can not edit anything and it says “read only access” is there any way I can change the A (Host)?

Hi there, it looks like your domain has a pending transfer on it, which is why the zone file can’t be edited right now. Did you request a transfer to another registrar?
p.s. I had to change your domain manager password temporarily in order to log in – please feel free to set it back.

Yes I did request to transfer to another registrar and yes it has been pending transfer for 2 days now. is that normal? OK no problem! what do you suggest I do?

To speed up the transfer, you can log into your domain manager. At the top left, select Transfers under the Domains dropdown menu:

Next, click the words in red, “Accept or Decline” – and follow the instructions from there to accept the transfer:

This should get the process going a little quicker. :-)

Transfers usually take about a week from start to finish, sometimes quicker if you manually accept/confirm each step. Good luck!
