  i purchased a thesis theme that I wanted to put on this word press site.

  On WordPress.com, you have the choice of many free and premium themes, but Thesis is not currently one of them. If you wish to use that theme, you will need to download WordPress from WordPress.org and host it on your own server or a third-party hosting provider.
